2010 Achievement Luncheon
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati honored the “Youth of the Year” at their annual Achievement Luncheon, presented by First Financial Bank, on Thursday, April 22nd.   Xavier President, Father Michael Graham, gave an inspirational speech that encouraged attendees to open their hearts to people in need and find a way to do more to help those less fortunate.

The event recognized the accomplishments of six extraordinary finalists, and announced the 2010 winner, Raven Pennington.  Raven is a Junior at Holmes High School, and a member of the MSU Boys & Girls Club in Covington.  Raven serves as an inspiration to her peers through her commitment to her family, church, school and Club.  Although Raven has faced many personal challenges, she has refused to follow a negative path.  She has made deliberate choices to take charge of her future and make a difference.  The Youth of the Year award is based on a Club member’s character, academic excellence, citizenship and Club involvement.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati wanted to thank all attendees and donors for all of the hard work that helped raise over $80,000 to help support programming for eleven club locations.

Thank you to our 2010 sponsors:
