The Place for Teens

At the Boys & Girls Clubs, we know that teens need their own place to hang out, grow and plan for their futures.  This is why we have created Teen Centers in many of our Clubs.  Teens need their own space, dedicated staff, and most importantly their own programming that supports their academic progress, planning for college/career and development of self-sufficiency skills.

As a 2007 Harris Interactive survey of Boys and Girls Club alumni revealed, 90% of Club alumni graduated from high school, compared to 60% nationally.  Clearly, Boys and Girls Club teen centers can be a huge influence on a young person's academic successes and transition to adulthood.

We currently operate teen centers in the following Clubs/communities:

  • Espy Club, Lower Price Hill
  • LeBlond Club, Over-the-Rhine
  • U.S. Bank Club, Avondale
  • MSU Club, Covington, KY
  • Lewis County Club, Vanceburg, KY

These Teen Centers provide Club Members, ages 13-18, with their own space to learn, play, and interact wtih other teens. Each center is furnished with a big screen T.V., couches, video games, computers, and other fun items aimed at attracting young adults inside the Club and off the streets.
