A NEW GENERATION REALIZED

FROM VISION TO REALITY

Nearly a year after the successful completion of A New Generation, the largest capital campaign in Boys & Girls Clubs of America history, we're reflecting on the vision that made today's transformations possible. Renovations at the Jeff Wyler and Dudley S. Taft Clubs are on track for completion this October, marking the final phase of a historic investment in safe, modern spaces where young people can learn, grow, and thrive for generations to come. From new facilities and renovated Club spaces to expanded programming, investments in our staff, and a stronger financial foundation, A New Generation transformed the way Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati serves young people. Here's a look at what we set out to accomplish–and what your support has made possible.

BUILDING THE VISION

During the COVID-19 pandemic, BGCGC gathered feedback from youth, families, and staff to shape a new strategic plan. In June 2022, the Board approved the vision for A New Generation, launched campaign planning, and hired Ignite Philanthropy to lead the effort.

LAYING THE FOUNDATION

A campaign cabinet was assembled to lead the effort, and a transformational bequest from Harry and Linda Fath accelerated the campaign's momentum. The Board of Directors phase officially began in June 2023 alongside renovations at the Chase & Cole Fischer Club, followed by the groundbreaking of the Richard T. Farmer Club in November 2023.

INVESTING IN PEOPLE & PLACES

BGCGC invested in both its people and its future by increasing staff salaries, celebrating the grand reopening of the Chase & Cole Fischer Club in June 2024, and breaking ground on the Western & Southern Youth Workforce Development Center in September of 2024. By January 2025, A New Generation had surpassed $40 million.

A NEW GENERATION COMES TO LIFE

Renovations began at the Clem & Ann Buenger and Larry & Rhonda Sheakley Clubs before the Richard T. Farmer Club celebrated its grand opening in April 2025, coinciding with the campaign's public launch. In October, the Western & Southern Youth Workforce Development Center opened inside the Williams Family Foundation Building, while renovations were completed at the Larry & Rhonda Sheakley Club.

REALIZING THE VISION

The Clem & Ann Buenger Club celebrated its grand reopening in April 2026, while renovations began the following month at the Jeff Wyler and Dudley S. Taft Clubs. With those final projects anticipated to conclude in October 2026, A New Generation will complete its transformation of every Boys & Girls Club of Greater Cincinnati location.
