This fall brought a milestone moment for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati. On Thursday, October 20, 2025, we officially opened the Western & Southern Youth Workforce Development Center, a first-of-its-kind facility designed entirely for high school teens across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. What began as a dream more than two years ago is now a welcoming, inspiring space where young people can discover pathways to their future.

A Space Designed for Teens and Their Dreams

The new 10,000-square-foot Workforce Development Center is housed within the Williams Foundation Building in Price Hill and creates a unified campus alongside the Larry & Rhonda Sheakley Club. For the first time in our 85-year history, we now have a dedicated space built specifically for teens to explore careers, build life skills and prepare for life after high school.

Inside the center, students will take part in programming focused on financial literacy, communication, goal setting, job readiness, industry exploration and more. From hospitality to construction to healthcare to the arts, the goal is simple: help teens discover what is possible and connect them to mentors and opportunities that show them the way forward. BGCGC expects to serve more than 100 teens in the first year alone, with growth planned for years to come.

A Season of Gratitude

The timing of the center’s opening could not have been more meaningful. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we are especially thankful for the generosity that made this project possible. The Youth Workforce Development Center is a signature component of A New Generation, our $50 million campaign to transform the way our region supports its youth. Donors across Greater Cincinnati stepped up in extraordinary ways, making it clear that our community believes in its young people.

We are grateful for every supporter who invested in this building, in our mission, and most importantly in the teens who will walk through these doors. Their generosity ensures that young people in our community have a safe place to develop confidence, discover careers and build a strong foundation for their future.

Looking Forward Together

As teens begin using this space, we know the stories that unfold here will shape the next generation of leaders, creators and change-makers in our city. The Workforce Development Center is more than a building. It is a promise that our teens will have the support, coaching and opportunities they need to thrive.

From all of us at BGCGC, thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for believing in our kids. And thank you for helping us build a brighter tomorrow for the young people we serve every day.
