A Holiday Filled with Joy Community and Life-Changing Moments
Every year, the holiday season brings a special kind of magic to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati. It is a time when our Clubs shine brightest. Our members gather for traditions they love, our community partners show their generosity in incredible ways and our staff gets to witness moments that remind us why this work matters so deeply.
Â
This year may be our most joyful holiday season yet.
Â
Kicking Off the Season with Generosity
We started the month with an amazing donation event at Cincinnati Country Day on December 5. Students and families wrapped gifts, collected items and sent our kids into the holiday season with smiles that stretched from ear to ear. Their generosity set the tone for the weeks to come.
Â
Holiday Shopping Adventures
For many of our members the chance to choose and purchase gifts for loved ones is a meaningful milestone. Thanks to our donors and partners dozens of Club kids will experience that joy this year.
Â
Target Shopping Trips (12/8):Â Members picked out thoughtful presents for parents, siblings and caregivers.
King Arthur’s Court Shopping Trips (12/9 and 12/10): Our younger members enjoyed exploring one of Cincinnati’s most iconic toy stores.
JC Penney Shopping with Kris Jenkins (12/16):Â Kids from the Wyler Club had an unforgettable afternoon choosing gifts alongside Bengals defensive tackle Kris Jenkins.
Â
These moments teach responsibility, independence and kindness. More importantly, they allow our kids to feel proud of giving back to the people they love.
Â
A Season of Parties and Community
Every Club across Greater Cincinnati is hosting its own celebration this month thanks to the generosity of donors, community partners and volunteers.
Â
TQL Holiday Party for the Wyler Club (12/11)
Farmer and Wyler Club Parties (12/18, 12/17)
Taft Club Party (12/16)
Buenger and Fischer Club Parties (12/17)
Sheakley and Workforce Development Center Parties (12/18)
Â
These celebrations include treats, games, crafts and a safe joyful space for kids to relax and enjoy the season.
Â
Bengals Players Bringing Big Holiday Spirit
The Cincinnati Bengals continue to show up for our kids in unforgettable ways.
Â
Play60 Event at the Farmer Club with Bengals partners (12/9)
Tee Higgins and Raising Cane’s Bike Donation at the Buenger Club (12/15)
Tahj Brooks Bowling Event with Fischer and Buenger Clubs (12/16)
Kris Jenkins Holiday Shopping Event (12/16)
Â
For many of our members, meeting Bengals athletes is a once-in-a-lifetime moment. But even more special is the message these players bring that our kids deserve time, attention and belief from the leaders of our community.
Â
Special Experiences to Remember
Thanks to the generosity of Rhonda Sheakley, some of our Club kids will attend a performance of the Cincinnati Ballet’s Nutcracker on December 17. For many, it will be their first time experiencing a live ballet. These opportunities broaden horizons, inspire creativity and create memories that last far longer than the holiday season.
Â
Your Support Makes Moments Like These Possible
The holidays are a celebration of joy, but they also remind us why your support matters. Every gift, every hour volunteered and every act of generosity helps us provide kids with safe spaces, caring mentors, life-changing experiences and opportunities to grow.
Â
This December, our Clubs are full of laughter, excitement and hope because of donors like you.
Â
As we look to the new year, we invite you to continue this impact. Your generosity ensures that every young person we serve feels seen encouraged and supported, not only during the holidays but every day of the year.
Â
Thank you for bringing joy to our kids and for being part of the BGCGC family.
